OrbitTerms of Use
These terms are the agreement between you and Netsphere Technologies Private Limited for using the Orbit app. By downloading or using Orbit, you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. The app
Orbit is a personal productivity app for iPhone and iPad that helps you manage tasks and deadlines, ring alarms before calls and meetings, draft a weekly timesheet, capture notes to yourself, and keep an encrypted document vault. Orbit works without an account. Signing in is optional and only enables end-to-end encrypted sync across your own devices.
2. Your account
If you create an account, you are responsible for the sign-in method you use and for keeping access to it. If you set a recovery passphrase, you are responsible for remembering it. Because your content is end-to-end encrypted with a key we never hold, we cannot recover your content for you if you lose access to both your devices and your recovery passphrase. You can delete your account at any time from within the app.
3. Your content
Everything you create in Orbit is yours. We claim no ownership of your tasks, messages, documents or other content. You are responsible for the content you add and for having the right to store it. You agree not to use Orbit to store or process content that is unlawful, or in a way that infringes the rights of others.
4. Acceptable use
Please use Orbit lawfully. Do not attempt to break, probe or disrupt the app or its back-end services, interfere with other users, reverse engineer the app except to the extent the law allows, or use it to send unlawful or harmful material. We may suspend access that threatens the security or integrity of the service.
5. Permissions and alarms
Orbit uses system features such as alarms, notifications, calendar access, camera, microphone and Face ID, and requests your permission before using each one. Alarms are designed to ring through Silent mode and Focus so you do not miss a call or meeting. You are responsible for keeping the permissions the features you rely on need, and for checking that important alarms behave as you expect on your device.
6. Availability
We work to keep Orbit and its sync service running, but we do not guarantee that they will always be available or error-free. Features may change, and sync depends on your network and on our processor's services. The on-device features of Orbit are designed to keep working offline.
7. The App Store
Orbit is distributed through Apple's App Store, and your use is also subject to Apple's applicable terms. Apple is not responsible for Orbit or its content. If Orbit does not conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price, where one applies; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
8. Disclaimers
Orbit is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Orbit is a tool to help you organise your day; it is not a substitute for your own judgement, and you should keep your own records for anything critical.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Netsphere Technologies Private Limited will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost data arising from your loss of your own encryption key or recovery passphrase. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above and, for material changes, give notice in the app or on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India will have jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have under the mandatory law of your place of residence.
